THURSDAY 17th AND FRIDAY 18th JUNE, 2013
The intensive workshop will provide participants with accredited training in the administration and use of the Stalking Risk Profile: Guidelines for the assessment and management of stalkers (SRP). The SRP is a structured professional judgement tool specific to risk assessment of stalkers. It has been developed by a group of internationally recognised experts in the field who combine their research interest in stalking with extensive clinical practice with both stalkers and their victims.
Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the various motivations for stalking behaviour, the different types of risk present in stalking situations and how to identify and implement appropriate management strategies. They will be trained in the administration of the SRP and using these guidelines to provide advice regarding sentencing and treatment and management options. The widespread nature of stalking and stalking victimisation make this, the first comprehensive stalking risk assessment tool, a highly useful addition to any clinician or risk assessor’s library.
