Certification Program (CATAP)
The CATAP Certification Program provides interested and eligible Regular or International Affiliate Members of CATAP with the opportunity to demonstrate that they have achieved a high level of expertise in threat assessment and management. CATAP recognizes members who successfully complete the Certification Program by awarding them the designation of Certified Threat Assessment Professional in Canada, abbreviated CTAP (C).
The CATAP Certification Program is completely voluntary. It comprises four steps: application, a written examination, a review of work product in the form of written threat assessment and management reports, and an oral examination.
What is an International Affiliate Member of CATAP?
CATAP recently created the new membership category of International Affiliate Member. This is available at *no cost* for members in good standing of one of CATAP’s sister organizations who wish to contribute to or participate formally in the operations or activities of CATAP. At present, the sister organizations are AETAP, AfATAP, ALATAP, APATAP, and ATAP.
People who register as International Affiliate Members are eligible to register for CATAP events online at the same price enjoyed by Regular Members. Those events include the Annual Workshop and Conference, the Webinar Series, and other educational or professional development activities.
